Judging:
A Light Chasers Featured Artist will judge the Show.

Stamping:
The work you submit for judging must be stamped on the back of your painting surface.
We will stamp surfaces at the Picnic Tables, located to the left of the Edson Keith Mansion at Phillippi Estate Park.

Stamping Dates & Locations:

• Thursday, February 20, 2025: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

• Friday, February 21, 2025: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Island Park/Bayfront, Sarasota)

Location:
Phillippi Estate Park, 5500 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231

Sales:
Artists will keep 100% of their sales.

Drop Off:
Artists may select ONE painting to be juried and hung in the show.
Drop Off is on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Edson Keith Mansion, Phillippi Estate Park.
Late paintings will not be accepted.

Labels:
All painting label information must be emailed to lightchasersinc@gmail.com by February 20, 2025.

• Price (Painting prices must start at $75.00 and can go up from there)

Pick Up:
Thursday, March 20, 2025, between 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
If you cannot drop off or pick up your paintings, please ask another artist for help.
Light Chasers Board Members will not be available for drop-offs or pick-ups.

RULES & INFORMATION

Paint Sarasota Paint Out Rules & Requirements

Eligibility:
Open to all artists 18 years of age or older.

Stamping:
All artists must check in at the Picnic Tables (left of the Edson Keith Mansion) at Phillippi Estate Park on:

• Thursday, Feb. 20: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

• Friday, Feb. 21: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Island Park/Bayfront Park)

Artists may have as many surfaces stamped as they want. Another artist may bring your surfaces if needed.

Cost:

• Registration Fee: $40.00 (No refunds after February 20, 2025)

• Payment Methods:

  • Credit Card (when registering online)

  • Check (Mail to: Light Chasers, P.O. Box 1323, Venice, FL 34284)

  • Cash or Check (Accepted at the Stamp-In Day on February 20)

Where to Paint:
Artists may paint anywhere in Sarasota County, including:
Bee Ridge, Englewood, Gulf Gates Estates, Laurel, Nokomis, North Port, North Sarasota, Osprey, Sarasota, Sarasota Springs, Siesta Key, Southgate, South Venice, The Meadows, Vamo, Venice, and Warm Mineral Springs.

Designated Painting Spots:
We will provide a list of daily designated painting locations at the Stamp-In.

Mediums & Sizes:

• Accepted Mediums: Oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, pencils, markers

• Electronic painting & photography are NOT accepted

• Maximum Painting Surface Size: 12" x 16" (excluding frame)

• Watercolorists may submit 1/4 sheet (12" x 16")

Juror:
A Light Chasers Featured Artist.

Awards Ceremony:
March 20, 2025, at 4:30 PM

Artwork Requirements:

• Paintings must be on stamped surfaces and completed during the event.

• Paintings will be exhibited on tables. Bring a table easel (max 25" height & 18" width).

• Label every painting with a 3-PART TRACKING LABEL:

  1. One part taped to the back of the painting

  2. One part given at Drop Off

  3. One part kept by the artist for Pick Up

Sales:

• Artists keep 100% of sales.

• Paintings do not have to be for sale (mark as NFS – Not For Sale).

• Off-easel selling is NOT permitted (violators will be banned).

• Buyers must contact MaryAnn Ellicott (lightchasersinc@gmail.com) to reserve a painting.

• Light Chasers handle sales and will deduct credit card fees before artist payment.

Show Drop Off:

• Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

• Late paintings will not be accepted

Framing Requirements:

• Paintings must be framed & ready to hang at Drop Off.

• Framed pieces must be wired properly (No sawtooth hangers, fishing lines, or chains).

• Glass & mats must be clean & scratch-free.

• A fix-it table will be available on Drop Off Day.

Pick Up:

• Thursday, March 20, 2025, between 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

• Late Pick-Up Fee: $5 per day

• Artists must make an appointment and pay the fine if they fail to pick up their work.

Liability:
All entries are submitted at the artist’s own risk. Phillippi Estate Park & Light Chasers are not responsible for damage or theft.

Use of Images:
By participating, artists consent to the use of their name & artwork images for promotional purposes by Light Chasers.
